Knowing your basic human rights gives strength, courage and a sense that you are worthy of being taken seriously. This can change the lives of those who live under vulnerability and oppression. My Human Rights is a non-profit organization aimed at strengthening women, men and children's human rights worldwide.

The association does so by disseminating knowledge of the UN Declaration of Human Rights (1948), the UN Convention on the Rights of the Women (1979) and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989) in an innovative, educational and self-reinforcing way.

The vision is to give women, men and children all over the world the opportunity to own the knowledge of their human rights and support to assert them. We believe it can help change the world.

The association was founded in 2012 by Emma Wistrand and Carin Granlund Olsen.

Emma Wistrand

Emma Wistrand

Founder

Emma is the creator and initiator of My Human Rights and our materials. Emma is a social worker and has a degree from the IHR, the Institute for Higher Education in Advertising and Communication. She has worked as a communications strategist and manager in a number of companies and organisations, preferably values-driven ones such as Gothia Förlag, Folkhälsoinstitutet, Natur & Kultur, Socialstyrelsen and Företagarna. Emma has been the sustainability communications manager at Systembolaget and now works as a brand manager at Svevia.

Carin Granlund Olsen

Founder

Carin has been involved since the start of the association and is responsible for operations, production of materials, collaborations, sales and finances. Carin has previously founded and run the communications agency Podium and later the network Oliven. Educated in Information/PR and Strategic Communication at Berghs School of Communication and in process management at Ramböll-Attractor. Carin is also a certified child rights strategist.

Annika Rehn Frobell

Chairperson

Annika Rehn Frobell is president of the my human rights association. Annika is a behavioral scientist and communication strategist with solid experience in developing insights that help people and brands meet. Annika is also a board member of the Planning Awards and course coordinator for Bergh's School of Communication's Executive course Strategic Planning and Insights.

Ragna Wallmark

Board member

Ragna Wallmark has worked as a producer, project manager and head of children and youth management at SVT, as Editorial Director for the Children's Department at UR and then as Program Manager was part of UR's management team. Ragna has also worked internationally for many years with workshops and seminars for media producers in Asia, Latin America, Syria and Namibia. Seminars on children's rights in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child, on media influence and children's culture.ᅠ Since 2012, Ragna has been working as a consultant on media issues.
