Inspired by our material “I Am a Child. I Have Rights,” Kompani MimLin has created a fun, musical, and fast-paced performance about children’s rights. Through newly composed music, clowning, and theater, children get to discover what the Convention on the Rights of the Child is all about in a playful way. The performance sparks thoughts and questions about rights, but above all about what they actually mean in children’s own everyday lives.
Behind Kompani MimLin are Elin Jonzon, a clown, circus performer, and educator, and Mimmi Olsen, a singer and songwriter.
Elin has been involved in the circus for nearly 20 years and has performed in shows throughout Sweden. She has also toured internationally with Clowns Without Borders, including in Moldova, Palestine, and Ukraine. As an educator, she regularly works with children and young people, teaching circus and theater.
Mimmi has been an active artist since 2010. Under the stage name Mimi Oh, she competed in Melodifestivalen in 2012 and has since written music and provided voice acting for children’s programs, among other things. She trained as a musician and singer at Kulturama.
"Viktigheter" is about 30 minutes long and is intended for students in preschool through second grade.
