Today, on International Day of Human Rights, The Paragraph, the secondmotif in the art concept Rights matter, is launched, a concept with strong visual messages created by illustrator Kari Modén and the association My Human Rights.
Human rights are powerful and universal. They state that all people, regardless of country, culture and context, are born free and equal in value and rights. However, despite the fact that the Convention was adopted over 70 years ago, and is ratified by 191 countries, compliance is far from a given. Around the world, even here in Sweden, people's rights are being violated every day.
With "The Paragraph", My Human Rights wants to inspire people to take a stand for human rights.
The first motif in the series "In memory" was launched in June 2020 and conveys the fight against oppression, violence and structural discrimination.
