This year's winner of the Nobel Peace Prize is Narges Mohammadi. The Iranian journalist, physicist and human rights activist receives the prize for her opposition to the oppression of women in Iran and her commitment to promoting human rights and freedom for all. Her struggle is necessary not only in Iran but is equally important for women all over the world. It is a struggle where more people need to get involved and dare to take a stand.
"We in the association have produced a pin with the message "Woman Life Freedom" to express our solidarity and support for the struggle of Narges Mohammadi and other human rights activities around the world", says Emma Wistrand, founder of the association.
"A pin may not make a huge difference, but making a message visible can be a powerful tool for communicating and engaging with social issues in a visual and personal way. The choice to produce a pin with the message Woman Life Freedom, the slogan of the protest movement in Iran, feels natural. We live in a time when women's rights are not respected, and everyone must do what they can to contribute," Emma concludes.
The pin is designed by illustrator Kari Moden, can be ordered in our online store and costs 75 SEK. The profit from the sale is donated in full to the organization Kvinna till Kvinna. They work to give women the opportunity to take control of their own lives while making visible women's struggle for peace and human rights.
