During the Human Rights Days, 17-18 November, in Örebro, we participated in My Human Rights to promote the children's rights game.se. The Children's Rights Game is based on the articles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the CRC, and has been developed together with children aged 10-13 years with the support of the Swedish National Heritage Fund.
The Children's Rights Game is primarily intended for use in secondary school education, but also by leisure educators, sports leaders, children's rights strategists and any other adult who encounters children in their work. The pedagogy of the game is based on Bloom's taxonomy and is adapted to the curriculum, Lgr 22.
- We have been working on this for 3 years, testing on a total of about 50 children, from prototype to finished game. To be able to present the game at the Human Rights Days feels very exciting. One of the aims of the fair is to spread and exchange knowledge about human rights and to offer methods for their practical application," says Carin Granlund, who is project managing the game.
The children's rights game will be launched in winter 2023 and is free to use.
